Description

In this project, I took on the challenge of redesigning Jaguar's recent logo refresh to better align with the brand's legacy of sophistication and performance. The new design features a modern minimalist jaguar head rendered with the golden ratio for balanced proportions and visual harmony. Paired with elegant, sharp typography, the logo reimagines Jaguar's identity with a focus on confidence, precision, and timelessness. My goal was to create a brand mark that exudes both strength and refinement, reflecting Jaguar's commitment to luxury and power.

Process

The design process began with a deep analysis of Jaguar's existing logo and brand evolution. I wanted to maintain the spirit of the brand while elevating its presence through a more structured and harmonious design. Utilizing the golden ratio circles as a foundation, I constructed the jaguar head with precise geometric shapes to achieve a balanced and visually pleasing form. I used Adobe Firefly to generate the picture of the jaguar head. For the typography, I drew inspiration from classical serif styles, integrating sharp angles and smooth curves that convey both tradition and forward momentum.

Reflection

This project was an opportunity to practice golden ratio circle logo design while exploring the nuances of branding for luxury markets. Through iterative adjustments and attention to detail, I was able to craft a logo that I believe better communicates Jaguar's legacy and aspirations. I learned the importance of balancing modern aesthetics with brand heritage, ensuring that even bold redesigns remain authentic to the brand's core values. This project solidified my appreciation for geometric design principles and their role in creating logos that feel both timeless and cutting-edge.
